Passion for Photography

Though it started as a hobby, it is now my passion. I feel comfortable behind the lens more so because I am an introvert.

Where words failed, my camera spoke to the people around. And the process happened to capture many lovely moments of people and landscapes as well.

It has been a very rewarding journey in terms of meeting many wonderful people, visiting amazing places and more so the fabulous journey of being a photographer.

It is magic when amazing clicks happen at the right time and place. Himalayas have been a great haven for spellbinding clicks.

Here is my coffee table book on Himalayan landscapes with Haiku.

Orange – Sunrise #AtoZChallenge

O #AtoZchallenge

A bow to the play of colors!

Every moment in the lap of nature is exuberant!

As I got up and looked outside the window on a fine morning, this is what caught my eye.

This moment was beyond words. I just gaped at this colorful sky.

I haven’t looked at this play of colors in the morning sky. This was a summer morning in Columbus, Ohio.

A blue canvas

A multitude of orange spells

Ushering an artist’s ascent!

Summer and Mangoes!

Summer and Mangoes

The twin mango trees in my grandmother’ yard..
Have made me a bard
As the sun spewed rays, sweaty beads adorned us in no time
Mangoes were gathered, picked, cut and pickles savored our tongue in no time…
Ripe ones made it to the belly
To avoid a battle of mango jelly
Well memories shared around and with the tree remains…
So does the trees and their magic

twin mango trees ,summer and mangoes

Life : A Dancing Poetry

Sun, Rain and Twilight at Auroville, Pondicherry
Sun, Rain and Twilight at Auroville, Pondicherry

Hither and thither drives the life

Beckoning to fly like the bird once in a sunshine

Of all the days which are taxing and dull

Heart dances like the peacock in the rain

Then there is the inevitable silence of the yonder

Like the twilight of your soul dancing at the right beats!

Future: Poetry

A future so hopeful yet distant;

A second, a minute, an hour, a day, a year

Man clinging on with a faith so dear,

Pondering on the worries this instant

A better life that he dreams often

Lost in the thoughts of the morrow

Never a joy in the moments he borrows

Of others who may hit the coffin

The mind stands unperturbed and lonely

With the hope of the future content

And a world so definite

A life in the now and only

As Soul beckons for the present

Seldom does the clock strike infinite

Landscape: Poetry

rumbakvillage-2
Rumbak Village as seen from Stok La, Ladakh, India

“You take the colours right from the palette, I say!

You speak of a place within, I gather.

Painter happens to be my soul, ain’t it?

You often have a say with the silence.

Such myriad colours you adorn yourself with

And glare at me for treading upon you

I gasp for breath out of exhaustion and astonishment

You sure have ensnared me in your arms”

Pleasure: Poetry: Autumn

A leaf gracefully lets go of a life so old, autumn is here

Everything ushers a sense of beauty, autumn is here

Jackets, boots, scarves on the go, autumn is here

Pumpkin juice, Pumpkin Coffee, latte;slurp, autumn is here

As I walk through the woods, my heart sings a song

Of colour, bliss, grace, everything divine!

Wind beckons the end of a season, autumn is here

Sun dwindles between cloudy , cold days, autumn is here

A contentment in letting go of anything old, autumn is here

A pleasure in the journey of old and new, autumn is here!

As I walk through the woods, my heart sings a song

Of colour, bliss, grace, everything divine!
