Yellow Ball of Gold- Sunrise!

As I went about my morning walk up on the terrace of my home in Bangalore, the Sun was making it’s way up. It’s move up on the stage was so grand that I had to grab my camera and focus on its entrance.

It was a poised way up and it was utterly elegant that I had to focus on getting these above shots. I was lost in time and wonder of this spectacle.

We are always so lost in our own world that we fail to look at the beauty around, the nature is a grand spectacle and every day, every moment is brand new.

What do you think of this? Have you come across any grand spectacle of nature?

Vibes #AtoZchallenge

I think vibes go a long way in making connections- either positive or negative!

Being an introvert, I take a lot of time to make friends. But when I do, I am loyal to my friends.

I like people who are honest, have integrity and straight-forward.

Travel has helped me meet people from different cultures and walks of life. And just the sheer love for travel has landed me with a lot of positive acquaintances and also the entrepreneurial journey has helped me interact with inspiring people and the learning is immense. I think it is a common vibe which gets us started and some connections are worth it in the long run.

What do you think of vibes?

A quiet conversation! #AtoZChallenge

A quiet conversation!

I toiled up a gigantic mountain which broke my back and body completely. I profusely trudged along the rocky mountain laden with steep rugged boulders and slippery path. The air was getting thin and a slight breeze accompanied the hike up the Himalayas.

I was on the Goechala trail in the Kanchenjunga National Park, Sikkim, India. I heard and seen a lot about the trail in various blogs and websites. I had decided on a certain whim that I had to honor my decision of hiking up the Himalayas.

This opportunity came at the right time. Within a couple of months I was up here heaving myself up the gigantic mountain.

As I reached the final ascent for the day and reached about 12000 feet, I could see the wide expanse of the mountain ranges all over.

There was a subtle conversation with the mountains and my soul. Something in me changed at that moment. For me it was rebirth. I was reborn in the lap of the Himalayas!

Words did not matter

Emotions weren’t surging

Physically I was broken

I was soul arrested.

Deep inside I could see the panorama of my soul!

Wow quite something the quiet conversation was!

Bring on the Karma!?

Karma means action/deed and also relates to the cause-effect principle. In simple terms it is “What goes around, comes around!”

Lately, I have been pondering about what Karma is actually?

Are there certain impressions from the past that cling on to your current Karma? And you end up being or doing things in a certain way.

Or is it about doing any action with the best of intentions and not being worried about the result?

Well I would surely go with the latter.

Maybe these questions are entirely different….. I am certainly figuring that out…

Well… What do you think?

Is Integrity ‘Underrated’ more so in a start-up?

Is integrity an underrated attribute?

Integrity(noun); is defined as the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.

I feel it should be one of the attributes of utmost importance in any workplace, business, startup etc. Integrity should be practised by one and all, it doesn’t matter if you are a leader or an employer or an employee or a clerk.

Workplace integrity does go a long way in enhancing the company’s culture by building trust amongst the employers, team members and clients.

Being honest fosters trust and open communication. Be it voicing out one’s opinion when things go wrong or informing the company policies, updates and changes by the relevant stakeholder does pave for an healthy relationship between the members in the workplace. Many of the brilliant solutions and work can be brought about by a trustworthy team.

Confidentiality is another important factor related to integrity. Safeguarding the client’s data, property is mandatory for any organisations’ success and longevity with the clients. Also, respecting and keeping confidential the employee related concerns and issues by relevant stakeholders is a must.

Ethics, right professional attitude is a must in any workplace. Be it the CEO or the clerk, right attitude nurtures empathy, compassion and accountability. Standing by what you say and bringing it to reality by your actions calls for one’s respect and trust.

Honesty, Confidentiality, Ethics, Professional Attitude go a long way in workplace integrity. Without which any organisation would fail.

With the advent of many start-ups in the recent years, is integrity lacking? Be it focusing on the aspects of business, product release, time factor – is Integrity of any importance?

With everything in the nascent stage, a start-up can easily make or break the relationship with the employees and the clients. A right, dependable, healthy culture is of great importance right from the start. Again, be it a CEO or a clerk integrity applies to each and everyone.

Are start-ups neglecting the aspect of integrity or are they very much concerned on that factor or is integrity underrated in a start-up’ workplace?

What do you think?
